uPVC Window Prices

uPVC window prices are determined by many factors, including the size and shape of uPVC windows (arched, oval and other non-standard uPVC windows are more expensive), as well as the chosen uPVC profile, window glazing type, opening type and ventilation facilities, if any. The price of uPVC windows is also affected by adding one of the available accessories:

  • uPVC window colour: white window frames are the standard. The price goes up if you choose colour laminated uPVC profiles.
  • uPVC window hardware accessories: any additional facilities raise the total price. These include gradual tilt facility, locking handle and others.
  • uPVC window air vents: the price increases if you order a horizontal or vertical air vent for uPVC windows.
  • uPVC window sills: the standard uPVC window price does not include window sills. Interior and exterior window sills raise the total price.
  • uPVC window grids: any decorative window grids are priced separately.
  • Additional uPVC window accessories: the price goes up if you want your uPVC windows to be sealed using supplemental window sealing tape or improve their performance by inserting warm edge spacer bars, or when you order a uPVC window maintenance kit.

Tilt and turn uPVC windows can either open inwards or outwards. Inward opening tilt and turn windows are the standard uPVC windows often seen in mainland Europe, especially in Central and Eastern European countries.

Outward opening tilt and turn windows or casement windows are more common in windy and rainy climates such as the Northern Europe, Ireland, and the UK. When it is windy or rainy, these uPVC windows press firmly to the frame and so increase the weather tightness of the uPVC window. Additional benefit of outward opening uPVC window is the free space around the windows and on the window sills. Tilt and turn uPVC windows are recommended for residential buildings, private houses, public buildings, etc. They offer unobstructed view and are easy to clean even in the upper floors of a building. Both inward opening and outward opening uPVC windows can be made with left hand or right hand uPVC window furniture (the handle will be placed either on the left or on the right side of the uPVC window). Irrespective of the chosen handing, the price of the uPVC tilt and turn window remains the same

The segments are separated by a mullion, or a vertical jamb that is usually an integral part of the frame and stays in place when the windows are opened. However, a flying mullion is one that is fixed to one of the two parts of the uPVC window and moves together with it.
