UPVC window detail inspection steps:

1 Apr, 2024

Visual inspection:
Observe the glossiness of doors and windows from a distance to see if there is any obvious color difference.
Use a ruler to measure the dimensions of doors and windows and check for deformation.
Touch the surface of the door and window at close range with your hands to check whether it is smooth and free of scratches.
Profile inspection:
Check with the naked eye and hand touch whether the welding areas of doors and windows are smooth and flat, with no obvious gaps or inability to be spliced flat.
Check the surface for obvious damage, aluminum shavings, burrs, oil spots or other stains.
Window frame inspection:
Use an infrared level or vertical measuring ruler to check the verticality range of the door and window frames to ensure that the front and side verticality, horizontal frame horizontality, horizontal frame elevation and vertical deviation from the center are within the specified range.
Check whether the joints between the door and window frames and the wall are tight, and whether the sealant at the joints is fully applied.
Check whether there are excessive gaps or burrs in the corner joints at the corners of the assembly, and whether the surface feels smooth without scratches, bumps, or deformations.
Hardware inspection:
Ensure that doors and windows open and close smoothly, push and pull smoothly, and track parts are firmly installed.
Shake the door and window locks to see if they are loose.
Seal check:
Check whether the contact between the sealing strip and the glass and the glass groove is smooth, and there is no curling, degrooving or cracking.
Gently press the sealing strip with your fingers to see if its elasticity is good.
In addition, when purchasing UPVC doors and windows, you should also pay attention to check whether its weather resistance, density, Vicat softening temperature and other physical performance indicators comply with regulations. At the same time, ensure that the connection tightness between doors, windows and walls is good, and sound insulation and heat insulation materials such as mineral wool or foam plastic should be in place to improve the thermal insulation and sound insulation effects of doors and windows.
