The difference between UPVC and PVC profiles: Application scenarios

24 Mar, 2025

• UPVC: Due to its hard nature and excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance, UPVC is often used to manufacture components such as pipes and valves that need to withstand certain pressure and strength. Meanwhile, UPVC also has good flame retardancy and environmental friendliness, and thus is widely applied in fields such as construction, municipal services, and chemical engineering.

• PVC: The application scope of PVC is much broader, covering various fields such as wires and cables, flooring materials, artificial leather, and pipelines. Different forms of PVC can meet different usage requirements. For instance, soft PVC is commonly used in the insulation layer and sheath layer of wires and cables, while hard PVC is often used in building materials and pipelines, etc.
